The Process

Wedding and event venues require more than beautiful spaces—they must perform seamlessly. The design process begins with understanding the client’s business vision. We explore the type of events they want to host, desired guest capacity, indoor and outdoor ceremony options, reception flow, catering needs, bridal and groom suites, parking, vendor access, restrooms, storage, acoustics, lighting, and back-of-house operations. The client leads the vision for the atmosphere and guest experience, while we help shape that vision into a practical, code-conscious, and buildable design.

Together, we walk through the venue from the perspective of the guest, the host, the photographer, the caterer, and the owner. We consider arrival moments, procession routes, photo opportunities, weather flexibility, accessibility, crowd movement, and the transition between ceremony, cocktail hour, dining, and dancing. The goal is to create a venue that feels effortless to guests while working efficiently behind the scenes.
